Millions of Chinese millennials become ‘new farmers’ to look for the meaning of life

The mostly young Chinese professionals, having grown tired of the hustle and bustle of daily life, are reportedly looking for deeper meaning to their existence. Shrinking social mobility and a widening wealth gap in society are also pushing more young people to trade the rat race for the simpler joys they find on the farm.
