April travelled from the Turtle Rehabilitation Centre at Four Seasons Resort Maldives to her new 'forever home' at SEA LIFE Loch Lomond in Scotland. Due to plastic pollution in the ocean, April was discovered missing her front right flipper and her left flipper was badly damaged. She was also diagnosed with tears in her lungs, resulting in buoyancy issues, unfortunately meaning she can no longer live safely in the wild.

SEA LIFE and its official conservation charity, SEA LIFE Trust worked with the centre in the Maldives to ensure she can spend the rest of her days being protected and rehabilitated at the Loch Lomond site.
