Canal Man Laungi Onto His Next Mission, Starts Digging Second Canal To Channel Water To Farmlands

Bihar’s Laungi Bhuiyan who had grabbed the headlines last year after single-handedly carving a three-kilometer-long canal to direct rain water into the fields, is now on his next mission. The 70-year-old has started digging another canal so that rainwater can be channeled to the fields of five nearby villages. Laungi has taken this initiative to carve out a canal to make farming possible in the nearby villages of Kothilwa.
