The meme coin theme is pressing into 2022 with Yearn.finance, XDC, SushiSwap, Oasis Network, and Nexo outperforming the competition. Even so, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are not enjoying the same gains. The two most popular meme coins fell 8.2% and 9.7% respectively for the week, continuing to make way for the biggest gainers. Yearn.finance gained over 31%, and took to Twitter to explain its Christmas Day gift of 1 million Fantom from the Fantom Foundation, noting that they did not dump, but donated 90% to the FTM vault. XDC is gaining even after it found an Ethereum bug that caused serious performance issues. SushiSwap is gaining after entering into a reward distribution agreement with NFT community OpenDAO. Meanwhile, Oasis Network will soon launch 2022 Oasis Content Games with a prize pool exceeding 10 thousand ROSE. Finally, Nexo has picked up nearly 10% over the past 7 days after hosting a $25 Bitcoin referral program and a $100,000prize pool. At press time, Nexo was up nearly 5%, sitting at just under $3.
