India logs 2.71L new Covid cases, positivity rate at 16.28%

India logged 2,71,202 new Covid-19 cases and 314 deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of Omicron cases surged to over 7,700 witnessing an increase of 28.17% since yesterday, according to the data by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Sunday.
