Roberto Escobar, brother of the infamous cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar, is the face behind Escobar Cash This hybrid cryptocurrency is not yet listed, but it could prove to be an interesting addition to the crypto market if it turns out to be legitimate. Investors should know that Escobar Inc is known for scamming people with smartphones. According to a 2020 report from PCMag, this is also not the first time Escobar has released a cryptocurrency. While Escobar Cash is supposed to be a hard fork of Ripple, Dietbitcoin was a hard fork of Bitcoin that has been inactive since 2018. Recently, a YouTuber known as MrWhoseTheBoss received a package of physical currency that can be transferred to Escobar Cash, but he noted that if the currency is listed, it’s likely a pump and dump scheme. At press time, Ripple was trading at 60.73 cents, up nearly 8% on a rising market cap and volume.
