A joint team of GRP and RPF, under the leadership of GRP Inspector Upendra Kumar Srivastava, arrested a member of the tortoise smuggling gang from the railway station's platform number nine from the Purvanchal Express train during the checking. 426 turtles have also been recovered from him.

गोरखपुर की जीआरपी टीम को बड़ी सफलता हाथ लगी है है. जीआरपी निरीक्षक उपेंद्र कुमार श्रीवास्तव के नेतृत्व में जीआरपी और आरपीएफ की संयुक्त टीम ने चेकिंग के दौरान रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफार्म नम्बर नौ से पूर्वांचल एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन से कछुआ तस्करी करने वाले गिरोह के एक सदस्य को गिरफ्तार किया. उसके पास से 426 कछुएं भी बरामद हुए है.
