Walking route 2 (footpath 609): Part B

Surrey County Council's 2nd recommended 'safe' route for 12 year children to walk to and from school. This route would take approximately 1 hour to walk each way. In the wet, ice, or snow on a darkening winter evening even the hardiest of Netherne's hikers avoid this treacherous, often quite dark and very steep footpath. It has multiple sharp rocks and stones actually on the footpath and many roots of different sizes. At the bottom of the incline the footpath cuts along the edge of a farmers field and in the wet this becomes a bog of deep mud as seen in the video.
