A recount of votes for Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) amendment revealed that the government Bill was defeated by a single vote. Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun on Thursday explained about the mistake made by Jempol MP Datuk Seri Salim Shariff during the vote tally the day before.
