How Thermobaric Weapons Work

Conventional bombs, in their explosive content, consist of two main elements, namely fuel and an oxidizing agent as a source of oxygen. Explosion is a very strong oxidation reaction between the fuel and the oxidizing agent contained in the explosive.
For example, the simplest explosives are gunpowder or gunpowder. The material which is composed of potassium nitrate, sulfur and carbon, if in a percentage, consists of 25% fuel and 75% oxidizing agent. Sulfur and carbon act as fuel while potassium nitrate is an oxidizing agent.
