This season two new teams Gujarat and Lucknow performed brilliantly in the IPL, while the champion teams like Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata have shown complete disappointment. KKR Kon had to face defeat in 5 consecutive matches after winning 3 out of 4 matches this season. Not only this, KKR's captain Shreyas Iyer himself has done well this season. Iyer has had a mixed performance this year and neither could contribute to the team's victory.
