Henry Lange Baker Hotel Orchestra - Somebody Loves Me

Henry Lange was a versatile composer, conductor and pianist. He played the piano in the Paul Whiteman Orchestra and toured on the European continent between 1920 and 1924. In 1925, he formed his own orchestra and was appointed the music director of Baker Hotels in Texas, and performed in the vaudeville circuit. In the 1930's he occasionally worked for radio stations. He wrote standards like "I Adore You", "Yes Sir, That's Lazybones", "Regret", and "On Sunday Night". Despite a certain popularity in his day, he not well-known today. I only could find a very poor quality period paper print, and apologize for the bad reproduction of his portrait in this video. Fortunately, the sound recording is excellent. It was made in 1929. I could not identify the vocalists.
