Even before Australia's current energy crisis, big business and governments had begun turning their attention to hydrogen as one of the answers to meet the demand for clean and reliable power. In South Australia, where renewable energy has long been a focus, the government is planning a major hydrogen plant with the ability to make the gas, store it, burn it and even export it.
