The country's eminent economist, thinker and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen has expressed concern over the current situation in the country. Addressing an event organized in Kolkata, Amartya Sen said that the Indian judiciary is ignoring a danger which can be intimidating. That danger is associated with fragmentation. He said that colonial-era laws are being used to put them in jail in the country.

देश के प्रख्यात अर्थशास्त्री, चिंतक और नोबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित अमर्त्य सेन ने देश के मौजूदा हालात पर चिंता ज़ाहिर की है। कोलकाता में आयोजिक एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए अमर्त्य सेन ने कहा, कि भारतीय न्यायपालिका एक ऐसे खतरे की अनदेखी कर रही है, जो डराने वाली बात हो सकती है। वो खतरा है विखंडन से जुड़ा हुआ। उन्होंने कहा, कि देश में औपनिवेशिक-काल के कानूनों का इस्तेमाल कर उन्हें जेल में डालने का काम किया जा रहा है।
