Inside a firecracker unit in Sivakasi

Sivakasi, a small town in Tamil Nadu makes a bulk of India's firecrackers. Most of the people here make up the workforce in this sector. Work in these tiny sheds is arduous and changes in environmental and pollution guidelines have dealt a blow to business. But it is a town that doesn't yet have other options to move to. ETB Sivapriyan spent a day at one of the cracker units.
