There have long been calls to replace Malaysia’s highly punitive approach to drugs with more holistic and evidence-based policies. However, the think tank The Centre argues that public perception towards drug-related issues remains underexplored. And to address this gap, they’ve conducted a nationwide survey to study the views of Malaysians towards drugs, and public appetite to reform the criminal justice system for drug-related offences.
