Rubaiya Sayeed Identifies Yasin Malik In 1989 Abduction case

Rubaiya Sayeed, the daughter of late former J&K Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayeed was summoned by a special TADA court to identify the accused in the case of her abduction which took place in 1989. She was kidnapped by armed terrorists on December 8, 1989, in Srinagar. Late Mufti Mohammed was sworn in as the Union Home Minister just six days before the abduction. Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) who was behind the abduction, demanded the release of five terrorists for her release. The state government, following the orders of the centre, released the terrorists and freed Rubaiya. 33 years later Rubaiya was summoned by the court for the first time to identify the accused.
