Karimunjawa is an archipelago in the Java Sea and administratively is part of the Jepara Regency area. The Karimunjawa Archipelago has a land area of ​​1,507.7 hectares with 110,117.3 hectares of water area. Since March 15, 2001, the Karimunjawa Islands have been designated by the government as a national marine park, because the Karimunjawa Islands are home to more than 120 species of coral reefs, 56 species of mangroves, 400 species of marine fauna, of which there are 242 types of ornamental fish.
