Controversial William Crowther statue to be removed after Hobart City Council vote

In what is believed to be an Australian first, the Hobart city council has voted to remove the statue of a former Tasmanian Premier. I's a decision being celebrated by members of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, who have spent years arguing Wiliam Crowther is not worthy of being commemorated in the centre of the city.
