Morven Christie, the Glasgow-born actor was seen filming in the cities Nithsdale Road today.
The 40-year-old actor, best known for her role as DS Lisa Armstrong in the ITV series The Bay, was filming scenes which would suggest the series is set in or around Edinburgh. Signs on the shop where one violent scene takes place had fictional newspaper signs advertising The Edinburgh Record.
The show is described as a "stylish, contemporary crime drama".
