Experience our new mode of travelling i.e. circular journey trip with us. This time the circular journey is a theme based journey, i.e. Biryani. Apart from the places which are famous for Biryani, we will also visit other places (mainly centering those Biryani famous places). In this tour vlog, we showed our visit to Hyderabad to savour their Nizami cuisine.

We travelled to Hyderabad by 12736 Yesvantpur (YPR) - Secunderabad (SC) Garib Rath Express. In this video, we also have covered our journey by this trais.

In Hyderabad, we tasted best non-veg morning breakfast at Hotel Nayab at Duralsifa area.

My favourite place to eat in Hyderabad, which offers food that is usually found in most Hyderabadi Muslim houses. Value for money with good portion sizes, it has kept the authenticity of recipes in place and has consistent food quality.
The USP of this little eatery is that, little known to many people, it still practices the traditional method of cooking over wooden log fires, which gives its biryanis and kormas a uniquely smoky and rich flavour, which can't be found in many restaurants even in the Old City!

My preferred dishes are their Tala Hua Gosht, Chicken 65 & Apollo Fish, with their Mutton Biryani my eternal favourite. It also makes a mean Haleem during Ramadan, which is something to look forward to during the month of the Islamic fasting period - the crowd can more than double in those days! There are some good organ meats on the menu like Bheja Fry, Keema Kaleji, Gurda Kaleji etc, which for the uninitiated can be something to experiment with. They have some great traditional Hyderabadi Muslim breakfast dishes like Keema, Kaleji Gurda, Khichdi, Nihari , Ande ka Khagina as well.

Nayaab DOES offer some decent choices for vegetarians, but for the veggies, be warned that your sense of smell will be overwhelmed by the onslaught of meat aromas as most of the diners are hardcore meat-eaters, cutting across community lines!

Foreigners may be advised to carry hand sanitizers and alcohol swabs to wipe the cutlery for hygiene reasons (although it is fairly clean), and since the food can be quite loaded with chillies and spices, something to help settle their stomachs. Also, be prepares to eat mostly with your hands, as the restaurant doesn't actually provide much cutlery.
The crowd is usually composed of local residents, and may come across as quite boisterous, but they are a very accommodating and friendly lot. But yes, because of its popularity, one may either have to wait to be seated or else be prepared to share a table with total strangers.
