In an effort to make toys more inclusive, Syrian dollmaker Safa Hamadeh has created a line of crochet dolls with facial features similar to people with Down’s syndrome. Customers visiting her store in Damascus on August 28, 2022, voiced appreciation for the creations meant to broaden inclusivity for Down’s syndrome children and give them a reason to smile when they enter the shop.
