গুপ্তখাল কি? গুপ্তখাল বা চোরাখাল সমুদ্রের আরেক মৃত্যুফাঁদ।
কক্সবাজার ঘুরতে যাওয়ার আগে বিষয়টি সকলের অবস্বই জেনে রাখা দরকার ,যাতে কেউ কক্সবাজারের সৈকতে গোসল করতে নেমে বিপদে না পরেন।
গুপ্তখাল বা চোরাখাল, নামক এই মৃত্যুফাঁদ খালি চোখে বোঝার কোন উপাই নেই। কেবলমাত্র জীবন দিয়েই গুপ্ত খালের অস্তিত্ব বুঝা সম্ভব।
গুপ্তখাল কি এবং কিভাবে তৈরী হয় ?
ঝড়ো হাওয়া ও সাইক্লোন এর সময় সৈকতের খুব কাছাকাছি এলাকায় সাগরে ঘুর্ণিস্রোতের সৃষ্টি হয়। এর কারণে সাগরে অসংখ্য খাল ও গর্তের সৃষ্টি হয়। পানির নিচে এসব খালের পরিচয় পাওয়া যায় না। কেবলমাত্র জীবন দিয়েই এসব গুপ্ত খালের অস্তিত্ব বুঝা যায়।
বিশ্বের দীর্ঘতম সমুদ্র সৈকত কক্সবাজারের কলাতলী পয়েন্ট থেকে লাবনি পয়েন্ট পর্যন্ত মাত্র দেড় কিলোমিটার এলাকার সৈকতে পানির নিচে ৫টি গুপ্ত খাল রয়েছে।
গুপ্তখাল কোথায় আছে কিভাবে বুঝবেন ? সৈকতে একটি লাল পতাকা থাকলে বুঝতে হবে এখন ভাটা, সমুদ্রে গোসল করতে নামা নিরাপদ নয়।
২টি লাল পতাকা থাকলে বুঝে নিতে হবে এলাকাটিতে পতাকার অবস্থানের সোজা বরাবর গুপ্তখাল রয়েছে।

A hidden trap is a dangerous trap which is basically a trap that pulls people in it by the stron rip current or tides from 3 different point. We cannnot see those traps with bare eyes as they are under water. We can only know their existence when our life would be in danger.
These death traps are basically deep hole in the surface of the beach under water. These traps are created for the cause of cyclone that causes the huge tides and those tides creates the deep holes inside the surface of water.
There are 5 death traps under water from the area of Kalatali to Laboni point of Cox’s Bazar-World’s longest sea beach.
When there is only 1 red flag, you have to understand that it is low tide on the ocean which is not recommended to bathe in the water. You must avoid getting into the water at that time. It is very dangerous to be in the water at that time.
If you can see 2 red flags at a point, then that point has the death traps under it. So try not to go there even by mistake.
