The Autumnal Equinox or the first day of fall is on September 23, Friday in 2022. This marks the commencement of the days becoming shorter in the Northern Hemisphere as the Sun is aligned more towards the South during this time. The term ‘Equinox’ comes from the Latin term which means ‘equal’ and ‘night’. This means that the hours during the day and the night are the same —12-hour days and 12-hour nights. The Equinox comes twice a year, during spring and once in autumn. For Autumnal Equinox 2022, share First Day of Fall messages with your loved ones.1
