Character: Samantha Alexander
Creed: Defender
Hunter: The Reckoning is probably the first twin shooter game and one of the rare 4-players games at the point when it was produced back in 2002. I grew up with the XBOX version, so when I recorded this in the gamecube emulator, I realised the difficulty was toned down. I am not sure if it is just me grown up now playing this or the gamecube version is really easier by a little as I recalled I can't even survive without dying, but one thing for sure is that the XBOX version didn't have the auto-fire feature. This game may be dull if played solo but it is actually an underrated gem when playing with friends in multiplayer co-op.
This video is fully Defender's run. She is known as Samantha Alexander, and she is the better 2 character that I would recommend to play solo, or duo 2-player co-op (With the other been Judge).
The reason why I recommend her is because she is all-rounder character, and I feel her magnum (base range weapon) is the best amongst all 4 playable characters. You can also heal yourself when you need to as Sam has a healing feature as and when you need it from the start. However, her Katana swordsmanship can be a pain to use. Though she has a decent strength, the way she swings the sword is not ideal.
If you want to compare between using her or Father Esteban Cortez (Judge), I would conclude that it is better for beginners to use her. For those who knows the game mechanics and probably knows what to expect, Father Esteban is definitely the best character hands-down.
Please see my Judge video why is he the best character for experienced players.
As stressed earlier, this game is not meant to change characters halfway. Please stick to the same character as this game is heavily RPG despite action style.
Machine Shop - 0:00
Death Row 1 (Carpenter Boss) - 6:00
Death Row 2 (Nathaniel Arkady Werewolf Boss) - 16:44
Main Yard 3 - 23:53
Meal Hall 2 - 25:26
Main Yard 4 - 27:31
Mansion Exterior 3 - 29:52
Mansion Interior 2 - 30:17
Attic (Evolved Warden FINAL BOSS) - 30:44
Good Ending (Rescue more than 50 innocents) - 33:13
Bad Ending (Rescue less than 50 innocents) - 34:14
BTW, I did not miss the 3 innocent at the final boss stage. I deliberately did not want save them as it will make the final boss extremely hard and impossible to beat
