A Chinese Long March 2C rocket launched the S-SAR01 satellite from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center on Oct. 13, 2022 at 6:53 a.m. (Beijing Time). the rocket sheds tiles during launch, a normal occurrence.
The satellite will "support disaster prevention, reduction, relief, and environmental protection," and more according to China Central Television.
