China Airlines, Taiwan’s state-owned flag carrier, has agreed to buy 16 Boeing 787 Dreamliner passenger aircraft for more than US$2 billion. The sale comes just four months after visiting U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said he hoped Taiwan would buy the planes — which are made in his home state of South Carolina.
