Taiwan is known for its high technology. Taipei, as Taiwan’s capital, has been committed to digital transformation since 2016. However, the force and magnitude of this transformation are actually greater in the private sector. We can see residents research cities using open data and profit-seeking companies adjust their business models using big data. The Taipei Urban Intelligence Center was officially launched at the end of 2021 with a mission to assist smart governance. Taipei, propelled by this wave of e-governance, will undergo an exciting transformation.
