Animal activists demand fair probe in Ghaziabad dog attack case

Several animal activists have taken up the cause and are coming to the fore in defence of dogs and are seeking proper investigation of the matter. Animal rights activist Gauri Maulekhi said, “This death was unnecessary and could have been avoided. Noida authority is responsible for sterilising the stray dogs but have not done their work yet. We have been writing to the CEO of Noida authority for the past 3 years about the inefficiency in animal birth control. The stray dogs are being shifted from one place to another. It is making them more aggressive which is why such attacks are increasing.”
