Glasgow Remembers fallen as Garden of Remembrance opens.

Senior Armed Forces personnel from all three Services joined Jacqueline McLaren, the Right Honourable Lord Provost of the City of Glasgow to pay tribute at the opening of the city’s Garden of Remembrance today (TUES 25th OCT).

They honoured the sacrifices made by servicemen and women past and present at the ceremony in George Square, highlighting the continued importance of remembrance and wearing a poppy.

The official opening coincides with the start of the Scottish Poppy Appeal this week, with armies of collectors hitting streets, businesses, and supermarkets throughout Glasgow and beyond
