Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (عليه السلام) said that:
Whoever recites Surah Al-Alaq in the daytime or at night, and then passes away, he will be counted amongst the martyrs who died while fighting on the side of the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم).
