In big cities, as a rule, there is always one or more cult groups. Groups that become local heroes but, due to various circumstances, never make it to the big leagues. Just such a group was "Glory" from San Diego (California). Formed the group Jerry Raney (later he became the founder of such groups as "Shine", "Jerry Raney And The Shames" and a member of such famous bands as "The Farmers", "Beat Farmers") and Jack Pinney (ex- "Iron Butterfly" ' 66). In 1970 they recorded a live album for the local radio station "KRPI", which was published by "Rich Haupt's Rockadelic" in 2001 in an edition of 600 copies. On the LP tab, there is a quote from Jerry Raney: “The DJ set up the equipment, introduced the band and left. The guys and I didn't know what to do: whether to announce every song, or in the intervals between them, adjust the instrument. In the end, we drank beer and thought about what thing to play next. The mix was done by Clark Faville to perfection, so the band's sound was amazing. Powerful guitar riffs, strong vocals, excellent rhythm section. But, to be honest, the guys did not come up with anything new - they played traditional hard rock in the best traditions of “Blue Cheer” and “Led Zeppelin”. The record consists of half covers, half its own material. In the future, the paths of some members of the group often crossed - Jack Pinney participated in the projects "The Farmers", "Beat Farmers" with Jerry Raney. Nothing is known about the rest of the participants. strong vocals, excellent rhythm section.
