Small business owners and members of the community have gathered outside The Lochs Shopping Centre in Easterehouse in protest to "Save Our Shoppy". The shopping centre has fallen into disrepair with heating issues and dilapidated conditions throughout.
Traders fear the closure of the shopping centre.
Shops are now faced with paying for backdated rent from when their businesses were closed during lockdown with bills of up to £16,000 on top of their centre service charges.
Some businesses have already been given Notices of Irritancy, by which their landlord seeks to terminate their lease early over non-payment of rent.
Requests to meet representatives from Glasgow City Council and landlords City Property Glasgow have been ignored.
