On December 15th, FaZe benched Finn “Karrigan” Andersen.

While it was a heavy blow to Karrigan, for nearly every other team it was a prime opportunity. While Karrigan’s final months on FaZe were disappointing, his overall record as a leader firmly entrenched him as one of the best leaders in CSGO. In terms of leading international mixed lineups, no one has come close to his success.

So when FaZe benched Karrigan, a bidding war should have started between competing orgs to secure his services. Instead what little information we have reveals that none of the top teams looked to add Karrigan to their roster. It has been nine months since then and the results are in.

We can now look back and reflect on the choices of the various teams to skip out on the Karrigan lottery, and what that cost them...
