You must have heard that yesterday, on the sidelines of the G20 summit, Rishi Sunak and PM Modi had a brief meeting. According to media reports within hours of this meeting Rishi Sunak announced that the UK will be providing 3000 visas to Indians. The credit, as usual, was attributed to our Prime Minister. If you're an Indian citizen looking to apply to go to the UK under this visa, be sure to watch this video before making a decision. You will ultimately realize that it is not worth the time, effort, and money to apply for such visas. The UK's new youth mobility scheme will allow young skilled professionals people from countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and many more including India to work in the UK for up to two years. The process is costly, long, and full of bureaucratic hurdles and finally, a ballot will decide your fate. In addition, the visa is non-extendable and one cannot take their family with them. The scheme is open to people in the age group of 18--30 years. In this age group, most of the youngsters in India are studying. If one really has to go to the UK, then it going there for higher studies is a far better option. The hype created by the media is actually worthless.
