Debut self-titled album by Koko Taylor born Cora Anna Walton in Shelby County, Tennessee, known as the scratchy blues/soul/rhythm and blues voice of the post-World War II Chicago scene. Raw and powerful voice with the Chess musicians providing a superb backing. The album is produced by Willie Dixon who despite playing bass can also intermittently be heard as a duet partner.
