Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged Malaysians to do away with narrow-mindedness when it comes to understanding religions, and called on everyone to live in harmony regardless of race, religion or culture.
The Prime Minister said that in his speech at the Putrajaya Mosque after the special prayers to usher in 2023, adding that he wants efforts to be taken to enhance religious understanding among Muslims and non-Muslims so as to prevent the seeds of Islamophobia, which he said were planted since colonial times, from influencing and confusing society’s thinking.
