The band's third album, Fanny Hill, recorded at the Beatles' studios in London, was hailed by the mainstream rock press as their best. The disc does indeed contain some of the band's best songs. No girl group before Fanny (playing, singing and writing songs on their own) has been as successful as them. "Fanny" were the first. And in the music business, then and now, the success of one produces imitation. Other labels saw an empty market niche and began to promote similar talents, competitors. If someone wants to find the point when the doors of show business burst open for girl groups, look no further - this is the release of the third album "Fanny" in 1972.
