Has the internet helped uncover a horrifying scam? Tiktoker Madison Russo claimed she had stage 2 pancreatic cancer, but keen-eyed medical professionals noticed some life-threatening inaccuracies in the way she was using medical equipment and made a statement to the police.

00:06 scammed over 400 people out of $37,000 in the most horrendous way.
00:13 Madison took to TikTok to share that she had been diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer.
00:19 But shortly after announcing this, she began to document her treatment.
00:22 And it wasn't before long that a GoFundMe page was set up in her name to help her cover
00:27 the cost.
00:28 But later, medical professionals noticed some life-threatening inaccuracies in the way that
00:31 she was using the medical equipment in her videos and made an anonymous statement to
00:35 the police.
00:36 Following this statement, the police obtained a search warrant for her apartment and found
00:40 a mountain of evidence that proved the internet's theories to be correct.
00:44 Madison had been faking cancer the entire time and would be arrested and face up to
00:50 10 years in jail.
