Comparing the aviation infrastructure before 2014 and the development under the same sector after the Modi-led BJP Government came into power, Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy on February 13 in Delhi lauded Government’s target of building 220 airports by 2025.

The Union Minister also called India the world’s third-largest domestic aviation market.

He also compared the difference between the number of flights that were operational before and after the Modi Government’s rule.

“India is the world’s third largest domestic aviation market. In 2014, 400 planes used to run in India, but today there are 750 planes in India. There were 74 airports in 2014, now there are 147 airports. The Government's target is to build 220 airports by 2025,” the Union Minister said.
