करीब आधे ग्लास तक बर्फ भर कर व्हिस्की (Whiskey) को परोसे जाने को 'ऑन द रॉक्स' (On the Rocks)कहा जाता है. अमेरिका (America) में इसका चलन सबसे अधिक है. इंडिया (India) में भी व्हिस्की पीने वाले लोग 'ऑन द रॉक्स' लेना ही पसंद करते हैं. लेकिन क्या है ये और इसका चलन कहां से शुरू हुआ. अपने नाम की तरह इसकी कहानी भी रॉकिंग है. इसकी शुरुआत तो 9वीं से 11वीं शताब्दी (Century) के बीच हो चुकी थी. लेकिन उस वक्त लोग बर्फ नहीं बल्कि नदी के पत्थर (River Stone) का इस्तेमाल करते थे. इससे जुड़ी और भी जानकारियां काफी रोचक है.
