Getting into the Paro valley to maneuver for a landing is a tricky proposition as the hills around are of a considerable altitude and the pilot must quickly shed height to be able to land comfortably at Paro, as it's also a short runway. One can see the Paro Chhu (river) below - a river that is teeming with trout! On gets glimpses of monasteries (dzong), village huts, agricultural fields and the typical agrarian countryside of the Bhutanese valley of Paro.
