Smoking a brisket can be intimidating, but Matt Horn is here to eliminate the intimidation. In this video, he shows you the process and ingredients that he uses to smoke brisket. First, prepare the brisket by trimming off the excess fat. Now, season both sides of the brisket evenly with yellow mustard, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Next, put it in the smoker with the pointed side facing towards the fire. Give the brisket around 12 hours before taking it out. Finally, wrap it in butcher paper and let it cook a little longer in the smoker. Check out the video to see Matt carve into the perfect brisket.
