This is the shocking moment a screw smashed a car's windscreen as it was driving on a highway in Thailand.Dashcam footage shows the object apparently falling from a flyover on the Borommaratchachonnani road in Bangkok while driver Kanyarat Ratpraset was on her way to work on March 17.The object left a large web of cracks on the windshield and bounced onto the car bonnet before rolling onto the road.Shocked motorist Kanyarat pulled over on the left lane to inspect the damage. She said the object was a 'thumb-sized screw' that shattered the glass, adding there were no construction sites or large trucks in the vicinity. She said: 'At first, we thought it was just a stone, but when I watched the dashcam clip, I realized it was a nut-like object that fell.'I hope this kind of thing doesn't happen to anyone else. I was very shocked at the time, but I tried to stay calm. I've already called my insurance company since the windscreen has to be replaced.'Kanyarat said that she was still shaken by the experience several days later. She vowed to drive more cautiously, especially since she often brought her child along with her in the car.
