Islam bool the city of islam is called istanbul the capital of turki, Sultan Muhammad II (30 March 1432 – 3 May 1481), commonly known as Mehmed the Conqueror (Turkish: Fatih Sultan Mehmet), was an Ottoman Sultan who ruled first for a short time from August 1444 to September 1446, and later from February 1451 to May 1481. At the age of 21, he conquered Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) and brought an end to the Byzantine Empire. Mehmed continued his conquests in Anatolia with its reunification and in Southeast Europe as far west as Bosnia. Mehmed is considered a hero in modern-day Turkey and parts of the wider Muslim world.

ইসলামবুল ইসলামের শহর । পৃথিবীর ইতিহাসে ইস্তানবুল এর মতো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শহর খুব কমই রয়েছে। পূর্ব আর পশ্চিমের যোগসূত্র এই শহরকে কেন্দ্র করে দুটো সাম্রাজ্যের উত্থান ও পতন হয়েছে, এর নামও পরিবর্তন করা হয়েছে বেশ কয়েক বার, ১৪৫১ সালে সুলতান দ্বিতীয় মুহাম্মদ তার পিতার উত্তরাধিকারী হন। মাত্র 19 বছর বয়সী একজন তরুণ শাসক হিসেবে কতটুকু যোগ্যতা নিয়ে অনেকের মনেই প্রশ্ন উঠে । কিন্তু সুলতান মুহাম্মদ আল ফাতিহ (১৪৩২-১৪৮১) ছিলেন উসমানী খেলাফতের সপ্তম সুলতান। মাত্র ২১ বছর বয়সে তিনি কনস্টান্টিনোপল বিজয় করেন। ফলে সলিলসমাধি ঘটে হাজার বছরের অপরাজেয় শক্তি বাইজেন্টাইন সাম্রাজ্যের।
