As an organisation, we at Unite 4 Humanity have been deeply moved by the tragic events that unfolded on February 6th, 2023, when a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, leaving a path of destruction and devastation in its wake.
Hundreds of aftershocks were felt in the region, and over 60,000 people lost their lives, while millions were left in urgent need of humanitarian aid. In response, we have been on the ground delivering life-saving essentials such as food, water, shelter, and financial aid to those affected by the earthquake.
This Ramadan, we are continuing our efforts to provide vital support to the families and individuals impacted by this disaster. Through our food and financial aid programs, we are providing relief to thousands of families in need, including the pregnant woman who lost her child and relatives in the earthquake and is now living with her orphaned son and unborn child in a camp. Our team members have been moved by the stories of resilience and strength that we have seen in the communities that we are serving.
Despite the challenges that they have faced, we have seen first-hand the power of human kindness and the importance of coming together to support those in need. As we approach this holy month of Ramadan, we ask everyone to consider donating to our food pack or Zakat appeal or supporting our emergency appeals.
