materials: You'll need a sheet of paper (construction paper or tissue paper works well), scissors, string or ribbon, and tape or glue Bamboo.
Fold the paper: Fold the paper in half lengthwise, then unfold it.
Make the frame: Cut two wooden skewers or dowels to the length of the kite. Tape or glue them together in a cross shape, with one end of each skewer at the center of the cross.
the frame: Lay the paper flat, and place the skewers onto the paper, with the center of the cross at the crease in the paper. Fold the paper over the skewers and tape or glue it down.
Add the tail: Cut a strip of paper and attach it to the bottom of the kite. The tail will help stabilize the kite in the air.
Add the bridle: Cut a length of string or ribbon and tie it to the center of the cross. This will be used to control the kite.
Decorate the kite: Use markers, crayons, or stickers to decorate the kite.
Test the kite: Take the kite outside on a windy day. Hold onto the string and run into the wind to get the kite into the air. Adjust the bridle if necessary to keep the kite flying straight.
