Two days after opening its first official Store, Apple is set to open its second store in India.
The store ‘Apple Saket’ will open in the Select Citywalk Mall in New Delhi on April 20. Apple Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tim Cook will welcome the first customer in New Delhi.
The store will have a dedicated Apple Pickup station which makes it easier for customers to order online and collect their devices in-store at a convenient time.
Like all Apple facilities, Apple Saket will run on 100 per cent renewable energy and are carbon neutral.
The store has more than 70 highly skilled retail team members who come from a combined 18 states in India and collectively speak more than 15 languages.
“It’s a momentous occasion for retail in India. We at Select Citywalk are very excited that Apple chose us to be its launch partner in New Delhi. This is one of the most iconic brands of the world. Apple was long awaited in India, finally, it is here and available at Select Citywalk... Once they start producing in India, I hope the prices come down so that it's available to more and more people,” said Select Group Chairman Arjun Sharma.
