Len Goodman has died at the age of 78.

Len Goodman has died at the age of 78.
According to Goodman's manager,
he died in Kent, southern England, on April 22
following a battle with bone cancer.
Goodman was featured as a judge
on the popular dancing competition
from 2005 until 2022. .
Born in London in 1944, Goodman began dancing at
the age of 19 and was a professional dancer before
becoming a regular on televised dance competitions.
Goodman was the head judge on BBC's
'Strictly Come Dancing' from its inception
in 2004 until his final appearance in 2016.
Following the news of his death,
BBC director-general Tim Davie
wrote that Goodman was a, “wonderful, warm entertainer
who was adored by millions.”.
He appealed to all ages and felt
like a member of everyone’s
family. Len was at the very
heart of Strictly’s success.
He will be hugely missed by the public
and his many friends and family, Tim Davie, BBC director-general, via CNN.
Goodman's fellow 'Dancing With the Stars' judge,
Bruno Tonioli, posted a touching tribute on Twitter. .
