00:00 Hi guys, welcome to Dee's Kitchen.
00:07 Today is the first vlog.
00:10 I'm kind of nervous about this one.
00:13 So today we'll be making some okra soup and we'll be making it the healthy way.
00:19 So it has some Cameroon pepper which is like some sort of African pepper that you use to
00:26 spice up the soup to give it the African taste.
00:30 Here we have some spinach.
00:32 Usually Nigerian people use ugu instead of spinach for the okra soup but I'll be using
00:40 the spinach just because I just feel like it's nicer that way.
00:46 And here is my bowl of chopped okra.
00:50 I decided to chop it.
00:51 This is my coconut oil.
00:53 It's called virgin coconut oil.
00:54 I actually got it from Waitrose and some people prefer to use the bees coconut oil.
01:05 So yeah, this is my coconut oil.
01:08 I would not be using any palm oil.
01:10 I'll be using this in place of palm oil.
01:12 Some scotch butter, popularly known as rodo.
01:17 I got some beef, freshly diced beef.
01:20 I got this from Tesco.
01:22 It was £2.
01:23 So I have some seasonings here.
01:25 I have salt, I have curry, I have chili powder, I have some water and I have this pepper soup
01:33 spice.
01:34 Very interesting spice actually.
01:36 I'll show you if I can just get it to open.
01:41 So this is my pepper soup spice.
01:46 It's very African.
01:47 I put it in everything I cook because it just gives it that kick.
01:52 It's a mix of herbs.
01:53 I got this from Nigeria and I will be using some jumbo seasonings and some Maggi, Noor
02:02 Maggi seasoning.
02:03 I'll show you how I do it.
